Do you like a challenge? ... Then this is for you!
The course can be completed in less than five minutes or not at all, depending on your level of skill and listening ability.
Set into the Linnet Clough site are two transmitting radio beacons (whose locations change over the weekend, so teams can't copy each other). Each sends a different signal in alternate one minute bursts and has a coded orienteering punch located nearby. Using a special receiver, you follow the direction of the radio transmissions until you find the flag marker (usually well concealed). The card is then punched and you go on to find the next marker.
The winning ream is the one which records the fastest time in finding all beacons.
